Calculation of a multilayer inductance coil wound with thin metal foil
The calculator is based on the Maxwell model, the same formulas are used by the multilayer coil calculator. More details about the calculation method and why a coil wound with foil cannot be calculated in the same way as a coil wound with round wire can be read here.
The calculator has an accuracy of at least ±10% provided w < D.

ENTER DATA:| Select units: |
| L | = | – Required inductance |
| D | = | – Former diameter |
| w | = | – Foil width |
| t | = | – Foil thickness |
| g | = | – Gap between turns |
The Coil64 program calculates DC resistance for copper and aluminum foil winding.
